The Careers Information, Advice & Guidance service (CEIAG) assists schools in fulfilling their statutory responsibilities to students around careers education and guidance in line with Gatsby Benchmark 8 through the delivery of high quality, impartial, face to face guidance interventions. Gatsby Benchmark 8 Personal Guidance states “Every student should have opportunities for guidance interviews with a careers adviser… provided they are trained to an appropriate level. These should be available whenever significant study or career choices are being made.”
Our service prepares young people for the world of work, teaches them to manage their own career planning whilst aiding schools to secure appropriate offers of learning, support transitions into positive RPA compliant destinations and reduce the number of young people who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET)
We also help to develop and maintain links between schools, colleges and employers to assist students in making the most appropriate post 16 / post 18 choices.
